The Pillar of Truth, Work and Faith
Hello friends.
This is basically what the Independent Church of God (ICCOG) is teaching.
Preaching The Truth: Salvation is By Faith and Work
In the modern landscape of faith, many organizations treat the Scriptures like a buffet—selecting the promises they enjoy while bypassing the commands that require sacrifice. However, the Independent Christian Church of God (ICCOG) operates on a different mandate: the restoration of total biblical obedience as taught by Christ and Paul.
The Foundation of Truth: How The Truth Flows
Truth is not a matter of personal interpretation; it is a revealed hierarchy. According to the Scriptures, spiritual knowledge flows through a specific “chain of command” that ensures the message remains untainted:
- The Father: The ultimate source and revealer of all truth (John 8:28, Matt. 16:17, Dan. 2:27, Amos 3:7).
- Christ: The Truth, The Way, the Life, The Mediator, The Living Bridge (John 14:6, 1 Tim. 2:5 ).
- The Apostles and Prophets: The foundational teachers who established the Way (Ephesians 2:20).
- The Church of God: The “pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).
Christ, the Prophets, and the Apostles are the original foundation of the true Church of God, with Christ serving as the chief cornerstone that holds the Church together. Many churches claim they preach the TRUTHS but do not follow Christ who taught Matt. 5:17-19 and 28:20
These truths are established within the true Church of God. The early foundations observed all the commandments of God, it follows that if we are to join the true Church, we must also observe all the commandments.
Take your Bible. Prove the truth. Believe the truth. Read the verses below:
Luke 1:6
Ps. 119:172
Matt. 5:17–19
Matt. 28:20
Eph. 2:8–10
James 2:20–24
Rom. 3:31, 7:12

The “Full Commandment” Difference
Most contemporary teachings suggest that the ancient laws were abolished. Yet, the pioneering teachers of the faith—the Prophets and the Apostles—were Jewish believers who remained steadfast in their obedience to God’s laws.
As Christ stated in Matthew 5:17–19, He did not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it. He further commanded His followers in Matthew 28:20 to observe all things He commanded—not just a convenient selection. Christ is the Truth.
Redefining True Righteousness
In a world of shifting morals, what is the definition of a righteous life? The Scriptures provide a tangible, non-negotiable answer. Righteousness is not merely a feeling or a confession; it is active, consistent obedience to God’s commandments.
- Psalm 119:172 declares: “For all Your commandments are righteousness.”
- Luke 1:6 reinforces this by describing the righteous as those “walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”
- Revelation 22:12 Christ affirmed the necessity of works: “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.”
- Romans 3:31 Paul did not void the Law: “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.”
- James 2:20–24 On Faith and Works: “You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.”
By returning to these foundational principles, we move away from “selective faith” and toward the authentic, law-abiding path walked by Christ, the Prophets. the Apostle and His original followers, Acts 13:14, 16, 42-44, and Acts 16:13. As stated, the complete obedience to all the commandments of God is non-negotiable, Matt. 28:20.
