Christ’s News From Heaven: Understanding the Gospel of the Father

Discover the News From Heaven Jesus brought. Learn what message Christ preached, why it matters today, and how the coming Kingdom of God changes everything.

The News From Heaven Christ Brought

The News From Heaven Jesus Christ brought to humanity did not begin with religious tradition or human ideas. Instead, it came directly from God. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible presents one continuous announcement. Scripture calls it the gospel, which means good news. At its heart, the News From Heaven is the proclamation of the coming Kingdom of God.

Today, many people feel confused about Jesus’ message- the News From Heaven. However, the Bible speaks with clarity. Therefore, this article explains what the News From Heaven is, where it comes from, why it is often misunderstood, and why it matters now. Every passage is quoted from the New King James Version. The wording is new, yet the biblical message remains unchanged.

The News From Heaven Is a Message Sent by God

Jesus did not arrive as a political reformer or a moral lecturer. Instead, He came as a messenger sent from heaven. The Bible states this plainly.

“For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.” (John 12:49)

Therefore, the News From Heaven did not originate with Jesus as a man. Rather, it came from God the Father. It revealed God’s plan for humanity and the future government of the world.

Many people today focus mainly on Jesus’ death and resurrection. Those events matter deeply. However, they are not the full message Jesus preached. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus consistently proclaimed the News From Heaven as the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

“Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.’” (Mark 1:14–15)

Jesus called people to repent and believe the News From Heaven. In other words, He announced that God’s rule would soon intervene in human affairs.

Why the News From Heaven Causes Confusion Today

If the News From Heaven is so clear in Scripture, why do so many churches teach different messages?

The Bible answers this question directly. Even in the first century, distortion had already begun.

“There are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.” (Galatians 1:7)

Instead of accepting Jesus’ words at face value, many prefer symbolic explanations. As a result, the Kingdom of God is often reduced to ideas such as:

  • a feeling in the heart
  • moral improvement through cooperation
  • an ideal society built by human effort

However, Scripture never defines the Kingdom this way. On the contrary, the News From Heaven describes a literal government established by God, replacing human rule.

News From Heaven revealed as the New Jerusalem descends from heaven, symbolizing God’s coming Kingdom announced by Jesus Christ.
The News From Heaven Jesus proclaimed finds its fulfillment in the New Jerusalem, God’s Kingdom coming down from heaven to earth, Rev. 21:2.

The News From Heaven Foretold by the Prophets

God never acts without warning humanity first.

“Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)

Long before Jesus was born, the prophets proclaimed the same News From Heaven.

Isaiah and the News From Heaven

“Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains… Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” (Isaiah 2:2–4)

In biblical language, mountains represent kingdoms (Daniel 2:35, 44). Therefore, Isaiah described a future world ruled by God’s government.

Daniel and the News From Heaven

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed.” (Daniel 2:44)

This kingdom replaces all human governments. It is not invisible or symbolic.

David, Micah, and Jeremiah

“Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth.” (Psalm 67:4)

“For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” (Micah 4:2)

“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord.” (Jeremiah 3:17)

Together, these prophets confirm the News From Heaven points to a real kingdom ruling from Jerusalem.

The Gospel Announced to Mary

Before Jesus’ birth, an angel explained His future role.

“He will be great… and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.” (Luke 1:32–33)

This announcement confirms a literal throne and a literal reign. The News From Heaven was never meant to describe an invisible rule.

Jesus Personally Proclaimed the News From Heaven

Throughout His ministry, Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God.

“Jesus went about all the cities and villages… preaching the gospel of the kingdom.” (Matthew 9:35)

The disciples expected this Kingdom to arrive in the future.

“Tell us, when will these things be?” (Matthew 24:3)

When crowds tried to make Jesus king early, He refused.

“He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.” (John 6:15)

After His resurrection, the disciples asked again.

“Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6)

Jesus did not deny the Kingdom. Instead, He said the timing was not yet revealed.

The Apostles Continued the News From Heaven

Jesus commanded His followers to preach the same message.

“He sent them to preach the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:2)

After His resurrection:

“Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:20)

Philip obeyed.

“As he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God.” (Acts 8:12)

Paul did the same.

“Preaching the kingdom of God.” (Acts 28:31)

Paul warned against alternative messages.

“If anyone preaches any other gospel… let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8)

What the News From Heaven Really Means

Every kingdom requires four elements:

  1. A ruler
  2. A territory
  3. Subjects
  4. Laws

The News From Heaven announces that Jesus Christ will return as King, rule all nations, and establish God’s laws on earth.

“Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

When the News From Heaven Will Be Fulfilled

Jesus promised:

“I will come again.” (John 14:3)

Angels confirmed it.

“This same Jesus… will so come in like manner.” (Acts 1:11)

Jesus clarified:

“My kingdom is not of this world.” (John 18:36)

The Kingdom belongs to the age to come.

“The world to come.” (Hebrews 2:5)

The Sequence of Events

Daniel outlined world empires leading to God’s Kingdom (Daniel 2:36–45).

“The God of heaven will set up a kingdom.” (Daniel 2:44)

Paul added:

“The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

The resurrection occurs at the last trumpet.

“At the last trumpet… the dead will be raised.” (1 Corinthians 15:52)

Revelation confirms:

“The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord.” (Revelation 11:15)

How the News From Heaven Will Appear

Jesus will return visibly.

“Every eye will see Him.” (Revelation 1:7)

He will stand on the Mount of Olives.

“His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives.” (Zechariah 14:4)

His return will be unmistakable.

“As the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west.” (Matthew 24:27)

Why the News From Heaven Matters Now

Human history proves humanity cannot bring peace.

“The way of peace they have not known.” (Romans 3:17)

Jesus returns to end human misrule.

“They shall reign with Him a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:6)

He brings hope.

“I have come that they may have life.” (John 10:10)

The News From Heaven is the only lasting solution to human suffering.
